Details: In fitting fashion, Lundqvist had a big hand in lifting the Rangers into their first Stanley Cup Final in 20 years. In the clinching Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final, Lundqvist didn’t see an avalanche of shots, but with little margin for error, he stopped all 18 he faced, including the most memorable one that will be seen on highlight reels any time he is honored in years to come. Late in the second period, with the game still scoreless, Thomas Vanek put a shot on net that Lundqvist somehow stopped with a helicopter save, twirling around and reaching out his blocker to keep the game tied. It was one of Lundqvist’s 10 career playoff shutouts.

Hank said: “I don’t think I’ve ever been more determined to win a hockey game. … When it’s only two or three seconds left and you realize you did it, it’s an unbelievable feeling.”
