Carl Woods has shared his support for fiancée Katie Price after she was involved in a car smash.
Describing the 43-year-old mum as a “rough diamond”, Carl took to social media to show his support for Katie following her on arrest on Tuesday morning.
The former glamour model was arrested after a car crash in West Sussex, where she was then reportedly taken to hospital.
On Wednesday morning, it was confirmed that the former glamour model had been charged for driving whilst disqualified.
A Sussex Police statement said: “Katie Price, 43, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
“She was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday (29 September).”
Responding to reports, Carl, 32, took to Instagram on Tuesday to say that he is standing by Katie and still loves her “100 per cent”.
He wrote: “Relationships are tested, people test each other – but when you love someone like I love Katie, you enjoy the highs and good times together.
“And that bond is tested during the low and difficult times together.
“Katie is a rough diamond,” he continued. “She has imperfections however they make her perfect to me, she just meeds that extra help to be polished.
“The sunlight will shine through her once again and the sparkles that she brings to everyone will return.
“I love you Katie 100 per cent. My dolly. Always here, always will be,” the car salesman concluded.
An hour after posting his statement to his 214,000 followers, Carl also shared a post from a Peaky Blinders fan account to his Instagram Stories.
In the image, actor Cillian Murphy appears as his character from the hit show, a distressed Thomas Shelby.
The quote attached reads: “Nothing kills you like your mind.”
In addition to Carl’s post Katie’s family also issued a statement on the incident on Tuesday, where they shared concerns for her mental health in a “very difficult period in her life.”
Speaking out on Katie’s own Instagram page, they told her 2.6 million followers that they are ‘deeply worried.’
They penned: “As a family, we have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health,” the message read.
“Today, our worst fears nearly came true. As a family, we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.
“We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.
“We would kindly ask that the media and wider public give Kate the time and space she needs to seek the necessary treatment, so that she can hopefully return to the Kate we know and love as a mother, daughter and sister.”
Princess and Junior Andre, two of the star’s children with ex Peter Andre, showed their support for their mother by commenting on the update posted on her behalf.
Broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire also backed Katie, writing: “I hope you are okay. Sending so much strength to you
