Public Relations Officer of the university, Victor Akinpelumi, confirmed the incident but did not go into details about the cause of the lady’s action, TheNation reports.
The decades was said to have drank a poisonous substance on Wednesday and upon discovery was taken to the health centre of the school, before she was referred to a government hospital where she died.
She reportedly did not leave any suicide note to indicate the reason for her actions.
Some students attributed her actions to heartbreak but a friend who refused to say her name said the late Fasunle was not into any relationship.
Speaking further on the incident, Akinpelumi, said the management sympathizes with the family.
May her soul rest in peace.
