N-Power Unpaid Stipends/NEXIT: Today Is Media Protest, Says National President
Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi, the National N-Power President has said that Monday, 26th April 2021, is the day of “media protest” in respect of the grievances of the exited Batches A and B beneficiaries.
The ultimatum given by the 36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development had lapsed.
Recall the forum had on March 16 in a statement signed by Pelemi, vowed to mobilise 500, 000 Nigerian youths to occupy the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria. The ministry is saddled with National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs), which the N-Power scheme is part of.
N-Power Unpaid Stipends/NEXIT: Representatives Forum Announces Two-week Online Protest
The 36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum on Monday evening announced that online protests will be held for two weeks – in respect of the owed stipends of exited beneficiaries and the delayed implementation of the NEXIT by the FG.
The council made known its newest decision in a statement signed by its media team.
The demonstration became imminent following the expiration of the near four-week ultimatum given to the Ministry of the Humanitarian Affairs, which is headed by Sadiya Farouq.
Wednesday, 28th of April 2021 has now been picked by the N-Power representatives as the starting date for all Batches A and B N-Power youths to express their grievances, complemented with strong hashtags.
