Nigeria’s Flying Eagles duo Emeka Chinonso and Adewale Oladoye have been snapped up by Jupiler league side KAA Gent.

KAA Gent announced the signing of the Water FC products on their official their social media handle, Sunday.

Emeka Chinonso and Adewale Oladoye were part of the Nigeria’s campaign at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2019, where the team reached the round of 16..

The highly rated duo follow in the footsteps of Austine Eguavoen, Peter Olayinka, Samuel Kalu and Moses Simon, as the Nigerians contracted to De Buffalos.

According to the Belgian club, the players will continue their development with the reserve team, before making the jump to the senior side.

The Club statement read:

KAA Gent has given Adewale Oladoye and Chinonso Emeka their first professional contract.

Both youngsters, born in 2001, were trained by the Nigerian Academy Water FC, where they were noticed by ex-Buffalo Egu Augustine and Marc Clarysse.

Adewale Oladoye (August 25, 2001 – pictured right) is a powerful defensive midfielder. Chinonso Emeka (August 30, 2001) is a big, fast striker.

They will have the opportunity to mature with the reserves team, and now and then already train with the first team.
