Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is excited to see the Super Eagles booked their place in the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon with a victory over the Benin Republic.

Okoye was in goal as the Gernot Rohr tutored side defeat the Benin Republic 1-0 in their own backyard on Saturday.

The Sparta Rotterdam of Netherlands shot-stopper also kept a clean sheet in the game, his second in third competitive international appearance.

After the game, an excited Okoye said via his social media handle that they are happy to qualify for the tournament and he also dedicated the feat to Nigerians.

“Africa Cup here we come, This is for you Nigeria!” ” he posted on Twitter.

The result put the three-time African champions firmly in charge of their group with eleven points, 4 above the second-placed Benin Republic.
