Segun Afuye beaten to death for killing friend
A mob in Oshodi, Lagos has beaten a man to death.
It was gathered that the 35-year-old man, identified as Segun Afuye was beaten to death by an angry mob in Oshodi, Lagos State, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Elewure Sodiq, 37, to death over a girl.
The unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday, March 24, while the duo were drinking at a bar in the area.
It was gathered that Segun discovered that Sodiq was allegedly having an affair with his girlfriend, identified simply as Kafayat, and had confronted him at the bar.
It’s unclear what ensued between them, but Segun was said to have stabbed Sodiq on his neck with a broken bottle. He died on the spot.
The incident was said to have angered the mob who seized him and started beating him immediately. Police were said to have been called to the scene but, unfortunately, he died before they arrived.
