Lagos State Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu ordered the immediate release of 35 people arrested today in connection with #OccupyLekkiProtest, TVC News reported.
The television network said the suspects are being held at the J Elemoro Area Police Command, Ibeju Lekki.
It will be recalled that earlier today Mr. Macaroni joined peaceful protesters at the tollgate to register their disapproval with the decision made by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry allowing the Lekki Concession Company to reopen the Lekki tollgate on Saturday.
In a new video making rounds on social media, the hilarious comedian could be seen stacked together with other arrested men in the danfo car in a very inhumane way as they were sweating and struggling to breath.
They were being treated as though they were murderers or armed robbers. watch Video below

Nigerian rapper, Falz has weighed in on the arrest of popular comedian, Mr Macaroni and other protesters by police officers.
Demonstrators took to the streets on Saturday to kick against the reopening of the Admiralty Toll Gate following the alleged killing of protesters on October 20, 2020.
Unfortunately, some of them were reportedly picked up and detained by the police officers.
Taking to Instagram, Falz reacted to the the arrest of the protesters.
The rapper wrote; “@mrmacaroni1 and a number of other innocent Nigerians have just been arrested at the Lekki Toll Gate for exercising their fundamental human right to protest.
The Nigerian government has shown by this senseless act that it is not concerned with upholding our democracy or the Rule of Law.
They are basically showing that they are not interested in serving justice as regards the 20th of October incident.
This show of force is supposed to make us fear for our lives, but the life we dey live no kuku get meaning before.
Absolutely nothing to lose at this point. They better be ready for the consequences of these actions.”
