Super Eagles hopeful, Ike Ugbo registered a goal for Cercle Brugge in their 2-1 away win over Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League on Saturday, Sports247 reports.
Ugbo opened the scoring of the encounter in the 23rd minute after nice work from Vitinho. The strike brought an end to his five-match goalscoring drought and marked his 11th league goal of the campaign.
Strahinja Pavlovic doubled Cercle’s lead five minutes later with a header from a corner kick.
Evgen Makarenko pulled one back for Kortrijk on the stroke of half-time to give his side hope of getting something out of the game in the second period.
However, Cercle Brugge held on to secure all three points to end their 11 games winless run.
The win moves the Bruges based club up to 17 in the 18-team Belgian league table. They are on 22 points after 23 games, 2 points shy of safety.
