Former Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2019 general elections, Adamu Garba, has given an update on the suit he filed against Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey, over his support for the #EndSARS protests last month.

Recall that Garba filed a fundamental human rights suit before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

He is demanding that Dorsey pays the federal government $1bn compensation over the resultant violence that has marred the #EndSARS protests.

However, in a recent tweet, the politician revealed that the court hearing for the case is set take place at the end of this month.

He made this known in reaction to a question from Nigerian singer, Peruzzi who asked; “Ermm @adamugarba How far you and Jack? Any progress?”

The he replied; “Very much so, our first hearing should be before end of this month, hopefully. @Peruzzi”

When asked why he is moving forward with the suit despite backlash, Garba said he is doing it; “For the purpose of security and economic development of our country.

“Court case will serve as a deterrent while $1Bn and having local Twitter office will settle the victims and generate employment for Nigerians. My ultimate goal.”
