Ned Nwoko seems to have gotten on the nerves of the women from the Dumeje-Ugboko community.
Women at Dumeje- Ugboko community have accused Ned Nwoko and federal lawmakers of imprisoning their sons, husbands and relatives.
The billionaire was also accused of taking over lands which did not belong to him due to his wealth power.
In the protest, the women are seen holding placards with inscriptions as they marched to the Delta State government house in Asaba.
They petitioned to the Governor who is Infeanyi Okowa. In the petition, they accused Ned Nwoko of taking charge of their ancestral lands for his private use.
Their statement is captioned: ”We consider it in the worst interest of the state and humanity to destroy food and cash crop farms and replace them with a golf course while leaving the owners with no alternative but a transition from being landlords to at best, tenants.”
