Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari and her daughter, Hanan have reportedly escaped a plane crash. The private jet both women were travelling on was reported to have lost control while on its way to Nigeria from the UAE.
The private jet with registration number GIV N52MK is said to belong to her in-law, Mohammed Indimi.
The jet reportedly lost complete control for 10 minutes while only one hour away from approaching the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. SaharaReporters, reports that the members of the first family needed medical treatment and examination on arrival.
The President’s wife is said to be in good health, however.
Global Times Nigeria recalls that the president’s wife travelled to Dubai for medical treatment. Mrs. Buhari was flown out of the country during the Sallah holiday after complaining of neck pain for about two weeks before that time.
The neck pain was said to have started shortly after she returned to Abuja from a trip to Lagos in July where she had visited Florence, widow of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, who died of COVID-19 complications on June 25, 2020.
