Yet-to-be identified gunmen have reportedly killed a military officer along the Enugu-Makurdi highway at about 11.30pm on Friday, August 7.
Global Times Nigeria learnt that the deceased officer whose name was given as Sergeant Bulama Aji was serving at 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Jos, Plateau State, when he was killed while traveling back to Jos.
According to Sahara Reporters, the gunmen reportedly opened fire on Aji, who was dressed in mufti after he identified himself as a soldier when the bus was stopped by the gunmen and he died on the spot.
In a related story, we reported that armed Robbers on Wednesday, attacked a bullion van conveying huge cash from Enugu to Ebonyi State.
The robbers reportedly killed four policemen escorting the vehicle.
According to report, the robbers, first of all, made attempt to intercept the bullion van at Ezzamgbo Junction in Ohaukwu local government area by firing at the escort van carrying the policemen.
