Senator Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo, representing Lagos East in the National Assembly, is dead.
The astute politician, 64, died from coronavirus complications, sources told Global TimesNG
According to information, Senator Osinowo fell sick two weeks ago and was moved to the Lagos hospital, First Cardiologist, where former Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, is being treated.
“The Senator has been suffering high blood pressure for years. It’s really not a secret, those close to him know this”.
Commenting on speculations that Osinowo died of coronavirus complications, the source said it might not be true.
“I don’t think so because Senator Osinowo has been very careful since the COVID-19 outbreak. He avoided meeting people”, he said.
Osinowo popularly known as Pepperito, an All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker, was a former member of Lagos State House of Assembly for 16 years.
