The deposed Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, is prepared and all set to leave Awe, where he was confined following his dethronement.
This is coming following the ruling of a Federal High Court in Abuja which ordered his immediate release from confinement in Nasarawa.
Global Times gathered that the Mr Sanusi is prepared to leave Awe with Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Mr El-Rufai arrived quietly in a seven-car convoy at about 12:47 pm on Friday without the use of sirens.
The duo joined the weekly congregational prayer in the town at the mosque attached to the Palace of Emir of Awe, Isa Abubakar Umar, with Sanusi leading the prayer.
The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor had been leading daily congregational and Friday prayers in Kano before his dethronement.
More to follow.
